Abstracts are quite interesting to do. It looks so easy doing this type of shot -- just move the camera up and down with a longish exposure.

Yeah -- right. Ummm... I did that sooooo many times, and very few turned out. There's a lot more to it than you'd think!

Plus -- you spend more time outside when you're doing longish exposres, and you freeze you hands off in the winter! There should be a "temp" listing as well as, aperature, iso, etc.

Oh, wait, it was 32 degrees -- that's not that cold. My I still couldn't feel my hands when I was done!

Congratulations on the HM. Very nice, and I know it isn't easy to get the effect you want. You did a great job. Btw, I put an outtake in the Outtakes which is a bit similar to your entry, but arrived at differently.
