 What do you do after spending a day working a technical conference? Head back to your hotel room for a bath. Sort of. I imagined this image at idle times during the conference, and I wondered what to use for some blood. I didn't want anything that would permanently stain the hotel bathroom floor/walls red. Then, I thought of using chocolate syrup and shooting b&w. Fortunately, there was a 7-eleven across the street. I had imagined more limbs. However, the tub was small and I quickly got tired of pushing the shutter and having 10 seconds to climb into the cramped tub at odd angles each shot. I imagined more "blood" but I didn't want to spend the night trying to clean up the mess. So, this is what I ended up with.

Awesome idea, and execution Mark!! Absolutely love it. The attention to detail-- fabulous!
Reading the backstory cracked me up as I visualized you working to get each frame.....I shoot so many selfp's that I've wondered what I must look like getting into character and position.....but I can only imagine your contortions. haha!

That is definitely some great use of idle conference times! I love how you managed to produce this perfect entry while being away, without access to all your gear and props. Inspirational. Congrats!

Congratulations, I liked this a lot.

As to what the hotel staff may be thinking about the chocolate "help" cries I am not sure. But then I guess hotel staff are used to quite a lot of weird stuff in the rooms :-)
