So I'm currently at 6.8 with a camera phone shot. I'm completely and totally floored by that. I can't take a decent camera phone shot. Period. Guaranteed.

It's the processing that makes this one. The color versions just didn't look like much, and I couldn't seem to bring out what I actually saw.

I went for a morning bike ride with my son. It was the most beautiful morning I think I've seen. Very humid, but mist in the fields (with deer, of course. Although no place to pull over to get that shot). Once we started riding there were sun rays everywhere. Normally you just get them in one or two spots, but we kept saying "look at that"! for the whole ride.

This was just a small side road, leading to a small dam that was blocked off. We took it simply because there was a wonderful swooopy turn. Great fun to take on a bike.

On the way back from the dam, the sun rays were like nothing I'd seen before. It felt like we were in a cathedral. The rays seemed to be coming from almost ever pore in every tree. Even though they came out more in b&w, this still doesn't do it justice.

I guess you don't have to fly to touch the hand of God.

You must live in a wonderful place, with all the wildlife you mentioned and with views like this that even in B&W looks stunning. Congrats on the HM.
