Increased Saturation and Shadow as part of the Raw Conversion. I cropped a little off the top. Then I used layers, curves, more saturation, and unsharp mask to complete the process.

I would have cropped out the top part of the image. The bluish cast draws the eye up and takes away from is an outstanding image.

Magnificent strata! This looks like the gigapixel image posted a few days ago. I especially like the underwater-like lighting towards the background.

Strength of challenge link: strong

Image: there are lots of real lines here too but the implied lines are also very strong in the mountain ridges, crests and peaks. I love this shot as a standalone image. It's a stunning scene which begs the wquestion: would it look good shot by most people, much the same as the Grand Canyon? I actually think you've chosen a great view with some nice foreground so I suspect that this is out of the ordinary. : )

It's deep, fantastically detailed, rich in interest and quite mesmerising. Excellent. : )
