Taken on a dirt road in Michigan. We were out taking pictures to update her portfolio. April has already had a small part in an up coming movie and the producers called her again to audition for a play that a guy is writing in California. April had on an orange colored 1950's prom dress. I had a very hard time giving this image a name... Therefore, I went with Apriella her stage name. I am not sure how well this image will do on here. The movie producers loved my pictures...lol

I do love high contrast shots. I turned this sepia then brightened and turned up the contrast and hit sepia again. That is about it.

great high key. I get tired of high key images that are just washed out. a high key image should still have some blacks... nice iamge.

Apriella is just wonderful from the shoulder up but then she grows an odd tumor where her bust should be. I choose to overlook her deformity and give her a 10 anyways.

this was my favorite photo of the challenge with a person in it. the over exposure really brings out her dark features, she looks like someone out of the 40's with a very classy look. her expression and hair are fantastic

Great contrasty image, strong expression. I would crop away the part where the dress shows on her back.

Was this taken during October this year, or 1928, as you've managed to capture that old photo feel perfectly. Love it.

I have seen a picture like this before or it reminds me of someone, I'm not sure which. It is an arresting image. When I first looked at it I didn't score it very highly but when I try to think about what I would change, I can't really think of much. Either it's bad in every way or I should bump it up ... okay, bumping.

Good shot. Reminds me of a 20's or 30's photo.

Just love this shot. Only nit-pik is I wish there weren't so much white in the lower portion of the image (back and shoulder). But as I said - nit-pik. This is great.

I originally scored this an 8, but am back to look at it again, and am upping it to a 9. I just love the look of this. The duotone suits it quite well, as does the high-key look, and, amazingly, it manages to convey BOTH the feel of an old-fashioned photograph AND that of a modern photograph. What the heck, might as well make it a 10, the more I look at it, the more I like it. Stunning model BTW.

OK, started at a 9, but the more I look at this the more I really like it. The toning and treatment really make the expression stand out on the model. 10

Nice hair :)

Really love the treatment you have given to this image. It brings out a rather complicated character. Love the detail and the tones. If I really want to suggest anything, it would that I would like to see a hint more of detail/colour on her arm (to seperate it from the dress and make it a wee bit easy on the eye).
Great work. Well done.
