Redondo Pier. A couple of pelicans have trained the local fishermen to share, much to the delight of the tourists and locals who wander by.

Many thanks to our inspiration this week - a comment from Paul is always a good sign. Score might suck, but the photo spoke to at least one person, and Paul is a pretty good appreciator. Those are hard to come by, good appreciators....

I only marked two "favs" in this challenge and the other one turned out to be Johanna's Tree and Feet image. Apparently, I'll never escape the two of you...and I am lucky it is so. I wish so much this one was in my own portfolio! FANTASTIC!

Happiness in the French market except for the guillotined girl and the Pope behind her. A wonderful capture in all seriousness, I like the lower perspective.

My husband leaned over to give me a kiss whilst I was about to vote on this image .....,he stared at it for a long time, then said 'I don't get it' I said 'you're not meant to'.

The fish is the star.

This is very good! One of my faves.

im torn on this between a great capture by chance or its some poor trained pelican destined for a life of performing for tourists, im not sure which way it is but its unsettleing which is a plus point it makes me think it makes me ponder on bigger things than just the fish.

this is the worst possible angle for a boring photograph. any chance of this photo being ordinary has been ruined. I hope you're happy.

I'm hanging this in my fantasy gallery

The things we do for just a little food; put ourselves on display to the pleasure of others just to eat, lol. An entertaining image.

I'm loving this photo and it feels very much in the spirit of the man himself, the posture of the bird, the flying fish, the boys bodiless head, all spontaneous imperfections that bring us instantly to the emotional essence of the scene, that's what photography should be about, thanks.

what a great shot and tribute to Ubique. It is authentic and candid and there is just enough enigma to keep it interesting!

I'm a sucker for improbable shots like this, where every 'serious' photographic consideration is set aside in the interests of the moment. But the greatest pleasure from this kind of shot is the spontaneous reactions of the players; the range of facial expressions among the four facing camera is fabulous ... everything from (reading left to right) delight; to mild and self-conscious amusement; to scepticism; to whatever the guy on right is doing (conducting the bird?) This kind of photography don't mean nothin'; and is all the more delightful for that. Thank you.

I like the 'aha' moment; it's a great moment too. I also like the severed head sitting on the platform! Is that for dessert??!

Each of the faces we see offers something additional to the image - I particularly like the glee of the lady on the far left.

Nicely made.
