I wish I did not read the title. I don’t want to be fed with a big spoon. Wished I could have thought: here is a reclining man, a modern Buddha in his last stage, during his last illness after he accessed full insight and arrived at the real enlightenment… or something of a kind, about the death and rebirth and the acceptance of life, about the wisdom that we have to discover by ourselves after a journey from which that no one can spare us.
An ineffable calmness invades the viewer and this is what it’s all about.
The horizontal lines and an almost imperceptible tilt are full of graciousness.

I'm not sure about the whole universe, but he is charming. Truly, this has me captivated. Bump.

I have no vocabulary. Have to bump this, and at the same time ask myself some hard/embarrassing questions why.

this is so...unexplainable & yet so clear & concise, it makes me smile inside

You've managed to make an unappealing subject into a beautiful piece of art, with your processing and composition. One wonders why the man is lying on the wall... what was he thinking when he bought those speedos.

Wonderful capture. He feels a little to far right in the frame, but that's picking nits.

two thumbs = top four & hang on my wall anytime.
It's lovely, and uncommon too. Zen without negative space cliches. A rare and welcome combination on both counts. Thank you.

The high contrast is great. The simplicity of life.

I was going to write a detailed analysis of your image, its message and it's place in art history, but my Buddha nature got the best of me, so I'll just score it a 7 and let you figure out the rest. [Your model reminds me that it is late and time for me to get to bed.]

A reclining Buddha in the flesh, wish I could have been there to hear that plop. Great image.
