I couldn't think of anything to use Expert Editing for in this challenge... not a creative bone in my body this week. So, I added text.

To text, or not to text. That is the question.

Some will vote me down, I know. *sigh*

I can't decide... *sigh again*

Post: Awww... THANKS for the votes and comments and the HM!!

Regarding the reflection in the clock. I actually thought that it detracted, too... SO... stretched the remote as far as I could from the camera... stretched the other arm out as far as IT would stretch... with a sheet of black posterboard and... clicked.

No reflection.

It made the image... so... flat.

There was nothing of interest.

I'm just sayin'. :D

I am a sucker for a good still life and this one is terrific. Happy to be next to you.

Congrats on the HM, Lydia. Nicely put together, and I like the drop shadow on the text and the match to the angle of the shadows of everything else - makes it look like it is hovering there.

One of my favorite images in the challenge, one of my favorite books! Good luck!

This truely gives the impression that the novel was written at this desk. A wonderful pairing of objects so suited for this challenge and the book that you chose. I really like this image and hope it does well overall. A 9 from me!

Nicely composed and edited, but the reflection in the clock is quite distracting.

I like the processing suits the image, but seems a litte cluttered, I would of not included the book, or the clock, sometimes less is more :)

I love the typset though awesome.
