 So sorry for those of you who are having to look at yet another portrait of my daughter. I was just so excited to be entering again and I had shot these for the light challenge. It was so fun entering challenges again that I couldn't help but enter one in the free study. I didn't shoot anything the rest of the month so an outtake of this one was all I had. I think a few of you must have had an issue with that as my score dropped dramatically today in just a few votes. The votes scrubber got a few of them and it rose back up a bit after the challenge completed, so that was a bit of a relief.

Thanks for all the wonderful comments. Especially from those of you who knew it was mine and that I had entered two similar shots. I will try to get out more in January so it doesn't happen again. I am really itching to use my new wide angle. If the weather would just cooperate.

Really in the end the score was what it should have been. I love this photo of her but I missed the focus a bit. Still the overall feel of the image just kept drawing me to picking this one despite the missed focus.

Really like the softness of this shot and the narrow depth of focus. You've not smoothed the skin out too much, which is easy to do.
