My family all left me this week... so... it was the PERFECT time for a food challenge! I could buy ONE lobster, three crayfish, several brusselsprouts and ONE artichoke and... eat it all by my onesie. :D

Not all in one sitting, but yeah... I ate it all myself. WITH garlic butter.

OH! so GOOD!

Well... except for the bread. I tossed the bread out for the birds. I'm not much fond of bread, and I got it for half off because it was stale. :D

Funny thing is that... I went to a grocery store I almost never go to... because I thought they'd have an artichoke ($2.99 each! WHAT?!). I went only for one artichoke... ended up that they had a bunch of cool stuff. I had the brusselsprouts at home already... I almost ate them for lunch. I'm glad I didn't. Ha!

I hope the photo is as good as the meals were, but... probably not. :D

It all looked SO MUCH BETTER in color. *sigh*
I felt like I was committing a crime taking the color away. *sigh again*

On a fun note, Fred, the seafood guy, had the most wonderful look of incredulousness (yeah... I know that's not a word, but if you'd seen Fred, you'd describe it this way) when I asked to look at the lobster's face. And the crayfish's faces. LOL!

I wanted them to be pretty. LOL!

Congrats on the ribbon, my friend. Excellent image. I think the b/w suits it perfectly. The silvery touch makes it look wonderful.

It's ridiculous how much they're asking for an artichoke these days, yup :-) Congrats on the ribbon!

i feel this is a bit overexposed, especially on the largest lobster and ...brussel sprouts (if that's what those are).

You may feed me anytime! Good selection of foods with various textures and colors that make a very interesting B&W image. Your knowledge of food is as impressive as your photography skills. Best of luck.

Visually exciting array of foods and still simple enough composition overall. I might have included the rest of the knife handle though.

Excellent still life. The ingredients reminds me of our resident Bear chef
