I'm blown away by the comments (14 during voting!) and the score on this. Had no idea it would do this well.
I love shadows, and waited until last minute, so I had to do something at home and doable without a model.
When you try to make a shadow with your own lighting, it is truly amazing the different things you can create. When you're doing it with a flash, it's like a magic show. You have a guess at what the shadow will be like, but sometimes you're completely surprised at the rabbits that appear.

...I think this might be the most interesting image of a fork I have ever seen. Utensil photographs usually bore me. The shadow reminds me of those sculptures from the movie Beetlejuice.
I really enjoy the texture here. The composition is also fantastic and really puts a good emphasis on the subject. I like the fact that the shadow is so different thant the actual subject. Great image.
