Congratulations on the blue. It is indeed a lovely still life. However, I also saw things the way Lydia did, and although I initially had you in top spot with a 10, I eventually dropped you down into a top 5 position (8) as I reshuffled my top few.

Hmmm... although I LOVE to see beautiful art recognized (and this is definitely beautiful art)... and you KNOW that I love your work, Mary Ann...

If someone asked me to look at this image and tell what it's of, I'd say, "Three bulbs and a bowl."

The challenge description said to have three subjects present... all equal in visual importance. I see four subjects, so... soo...

So... *cringe* I'm sorry to have to admit that I gave you a 5 during voting... but I give you big congratulations for such a well done shot now. The technicals are wonderful... the composition exquisite and the visual appeal is... a 12. :D

I like the Old World feel here and the tones. A little too much space for me, especially above the grouping - but it would look really funny cropped narrower, too, I think, given the subject. One of my favorites. 8

There are few masters here that shoot still lifes that you immediately want to put on the wall...
I wish I could do something like that, it's beautiful.
May be even more husk (is that the right word?), it has such a great texture...

Beautifully soft and rich- the (small) bowl is beautifully warm and echoes the white of the garlic, all scale is lost-life is stilled.

Beautiful. Everything about it. The pottery, the garlic bulbs, the table and background, lighting, tones, colors, composition. My top pick. in fact I want this print in my kitchen! (I have over 300 garlic bulbs planted in my garden!) 10+++
