My mom's out of town, so ... I'm babysitting my "brother and sister" along with our own two inside dogs this weekend and part of next week.

Makes for quite an adventure! Ha!

I wish you all could see the second from the right (the only girl) sticking her tongue out at the one on the right. :D

At first, I envisioned them all of a bench. I set that up... asked young son to help hold them up there while I went back to the camera... that worked out amazingly well! They got a treat. Easy peasy!

Son declined the dog treat I offered him and went back to doing whatever young sons do; I set about editing the image (the ONE shot in which everyone was looking good).

The image was okay technically, but... it wasn't "fun".

I wanted fun.

So... I texted young son (do you text people in your house with you, as I do?) and told him we needed to "up our game a bit". He came back. (WHAT a sweetheart!)

I wish I had a photo of his face, though... when he saw the places that he was supposed to get all four to sit and stay. Ha!

The girl (2nd from right, remember...) isn't comfortable around men, I think, and wanted to jump down immediately. I told her what a good girl she was. Sometimes, the one on the far right likes to pretend that she and he are lovers and that neither of them have been "fixed". (WHY do we call having a dog "fixed" when they work just fine before then and don't after? Seems like it should be called having them "broken"... But, I digress.)

Since the girl does not appreciate these charming, lover-like actions, she usually just makes sure that she stays at my feet all the time. This was clearly not an option up on her perch with me telling her to stay ... as sweetly as I could from six feet away.

I love it that she's looking up at him... sticking her tongue out at him.

I should have done that to all of the young swains who wanted to be my lover as a teen. :D

Men! *grin*
