 This was taken at Eldorado Springs State Park CO. This particular route face is named the "Bastelle Crack" This climber was on belay from above. His two other climbing partners were stationed just a few feet above him. I realize there could have been a more dynamic position, but during this shot sequence, I had this very annoying guy talking to me about some stupid boulder in the creek that he wanted me to take picture of him climbing, so I missed a couple good opportunities on this shot. I agreed to take a couple shots of this other guy with his camera so my Karma is still good to go.

Great shot. If this was blown up to a 20 x 24 you'd really connect with this shot. The smaller image just doesn't do it justice. (not voting)

for me, what saves this photo is the wonderful textures and colors and shapes in the rock face. it's like waves of negative space.

Nice. The climber almost blends in, but has enough color to make him noticeable.

Details: Use the surrounding space of your subject to create the wow of the photograph.

Excellent. An amazing shot that fits VERY well.

I'd have liked a bit more saturation on the climber, and maybe some large radius sharpening, just to give him a bit more pop and separate him from the rock (which he matches a bit too well)

Nice to see a climbing photo, but I'd like to see a more dynamic positioning instead of a climber rapelling. The bands in the cliff, however, are very nice.
