 When I took this shot my son was goofing around hiding on me (crouching down) while I was trying to take his photo. I ended up pre-focusing on his hands waiting for him to pop up ... this was one of the "misses" and I really like the bokeh background from the fallen leaves in the yard behind the fence.

Details: Use the surrounding space of your subject to create the wow of the photograph.

That's some nice bokeh to highlight the negative space.

FYI, watch out for blue tinge in shadow areas. A little bit of painting out that blue could really help.
