Thank you all for the nice comments and the votes. I am really surprised a spider did this well.

There was nothing unusual done, just a large crop and a little bit of warm glamour glow to the background, with the usual contrast, brightness, etc. No blur added, just a very, very narrow dof. This is a very tiny spider and the light was casting this glow around him.

I keep seeing this. (Well of course it is on the front page). Wonderfully spare, distilled, but it is the negative space which makes it all possible, and a lovely suggestive negative space it is.

Nice job, Mary Ann. I am not sure i would have thought to try the angular crop that works so well. I thought this would get a nice score, but I also liked your outtake of the grapes.
