 This little fledgling had fallen from its nest and made its way over to the front of a local Preschool, it was blocking their entrance and did not want to move. We figured is it was seeing it's reflection in the glass door and just kept staring at the door. All the preschoolers were on the other side of the door just having a great time watching. When it was time to move the Owl we were able to encourage it to move away from the entrance and into a field. It was still quite a ways away from it's nest and across a roadway and parking lot so the Animal Services officer on the advice of an Owl rescue group decided it was best to capture it and move it over near the trees where it belonged. Before long the owl climbed back up into the tree where it would be safe. The Owl never did return to the nest but hung around in the cluster of trees near the nest and is still there. All three Owlets are now out of the nest and 2 of them stay together in different trees while this one is always separate from the others.

Really timely capture. Colors are a bit pale, have a very slight bluish tint.

I have Turkeys in my yard and this owl thinks its a turkey for sure! Nice Shot.
