On our way to the Penn Station leaving NYC we came across the Ralph Lauren Store in the village. Just about everything in there was denim emblazoned with a flag and while most of the items were a little gaudy for my taste there was a shirt that was a little more subtle so I asked to try it on.
As soon as I entered the fitting room I was blown away by the textures and lighting. Love collecting textures for backdrops so whipped out the RX100 and started shooting handheld (couldn't do this with the D300). Then I thought about this challenge and went back out into the store and grabbed that jacket and shot some more.
The store girl didn't mind 'cause I was buying the first shirt and she just thought 'crazy tourist'.

A strong score from me, too - I especially like the textures, faded colors and simple composition. Well done and I enjoyed the back story. Congratulations on the HM.
