| I've looked at this photo so many times and I can't believe I haven't commented on it. How lucky you are to have captured this exact moment, the smile and everything. If this is your baby, I hope you have a huge print framed and hanging somewhere. And if it's not, I hope the parents do! |

Beautiful shot--what a lovely smile, that baby is very content to be held that way.
I think it might have been nice to try to crop it to get rid of the background distractions on the lower left--I would think maybe by cropping the bottom, but you could also try the left. Post challenge, of course, there's always the clone brush....

| This, to me, is what photography is all about. Pictures of children will rate well, even on DPC, if you can present them in a way that pulls emotion from the viewer. This is my favorite of the challenge and I hope to see it in Parenting Magazine or any number of other places that I'm sure would love to be able publish this. The pose and expression of the child are exceptional. Congratulations on an award winning shot ! ! ! Certainly a 10 from me. |

| Superb moment - what a cute expression. This is one of the strongest submissions - but I must admit I'm not too keen on the muddy print. There a lot of gray values in the print but it seems to lack really strong blacks or whites. What you lose in the print quality - you MORE than gain in the WOW factor you've captured. Should finish way on up there. |

| Wonderful composition and expression of subjec. Good focus, and terrific shot of the baby and the baby's expression. However while I like the shadow end of the tonal range, I wish there was a bit more in the hightlight end. |

| Adorable expression. This, of course, has been done, however the expression makes it one of a kind. The baby's arm leaving the frame is a bit distracting as well as some othe the other background. I don't know what size image you had to work with, but I think this would have worked better with a tighter crop. Still a wonderful shot. |

This image really stood out for me in this challenge. A beautiful shot and very well executed. The greyscale is excellent and the lighting is just glorious. The expression on the little guy/gals face is priceless. And the pose...the babies small and fragile frame cradled in that big masculine hand. It is a very vivid representation of security...and that baby certainly feels secure there.
I truly can't find a negative thing to say about this picture. I only hope you make this available as a print as I will certainly purchase one.
