 I had fun trying to get this picture. It is on the grey side but I wasn't going to miss entering it after sitting in the snow for 45 minutes waiting to get this! There were four of these snow shoe hares around but they all took off as soon as I arrived. So I sat in the snow trying not to move for what seemed like forever. I swear the more I think about not moving the more I move!! Finally this guy came out of the trees and hopped right at me and I mean right at me. So much so that I couldn't get another picture because he was too close!! So I slowly lowered my camera and he took off as soon as he realized I was alive!!!

look at those tiny ears! :) Gotta minimize the heat loss, but it just makes the critter stupid-cute.

Your exposure was low, and you missed a foot bottom.

Still, this is a 7 for me, because wildlife won't let you compose like a studio shot, and this is a nice capture.
