I love this but I have to be honest and say that I can't tell you why...maybe it's the lighting on the pear combined with the spots. They seem to be coming out of the stem. Again all I can say is I love it!

! Such an interesting still life! I'd hang that on my wall in a heartbeat... The speckles make it look like a bazillion stars. I love it!
