Boys, talk about no inspiration this week. I just thought I'd throw two things you don't see too often together: clothes pins an a flower :). I just liked the colours. Please digital photo gods, let them give me more than an average of 4. I promise to try harder next time. lol.

Black sheet for background. Macro setting with flash. The clothes pins look small because they are small (the size of small paper clips).

Happy New Year.

CRITIQUE CLUB!

Personally, I'm not sure I get how this fits into the challenge, but I'm pretty liberal in interpreting challenges so I'll let it slide. :)

I greatly enjoy the vivid colors and detail in the flower. The lighting is well-done and the background is undetectable. I also think the way you did the border is EXCELLENT -- I really would't have thought of something like that myself, but am going to have to try it. Very interesting.

I only have two "suggestions" to add. First, the photo appears to me that it has been sharpened -- and perhaps a bit too much. Where the green clip is attached to the petal really seems...SHARP and I'm not sure that you want to draw that much attention to one portion of the photo like that. I'm not sure if that really makes sense to you, but I'd like to take a look at the original photo and see if it's a trick of my eye, or if it's a case of over post-processing.

The second suggestion -- and this is just a suggestion -- is that I would like to see the angle moved to the right very slightly so that the green clip is not in front of the stem of the flower. It seems weird, I know, but I wonder if it would make the flower look more like it's supporting the weight of all 3 clips with one little stem. Again, just an idea...don't know how it would work.

Overall, a very vibrant photo and one to be proud of.

Great use of colors and I like the "absurdicness" of the photo.

interesting picture. i dont get it but it's still impactful as hell. a little on the soft side, focus wize, and maybe the green pin is a little fuzzy.

Very pretty image. The black background is the best choice, it makes it elegant and atractive. Technically very good. I understand that the challenge required the stranger in the area, but I hope you have a few shots without the colored clips, because IIMHO the colors are not adequate for this composition.

Very pretty colors and a VERY well taken photo. Strange, yes, this is strange. I was hoping for a little more "out of this world" strange-ness from this challenge, but this is pretty good and has good eye appeal. How about an 8? Swash

My God, that is STRANGE!! Tell me Doctor Freud, what is the significance. Excellent photograph, but the meaning of it all is driving me crazy. JEM

Now this is certainly a strange one. Great idea though. I wouldn't have thought to place pegs on a flower. This one deserves a placing. Well done and GL.

Great shot, but I don't get how it meets the challenge, but will vote as if I do!

Cloths pins on a Flower, very strange place for those to be. Good work on meeting the challenge. I would have stuck with one color on the clothes pins to get more contrast.
