 Bull elk silhouettes at night. Actually, it was 7:04 am MST, which was 20 minutes ahead of the 7:24 am MST sunrise. Horseshoe Park, Rocky Mountain National Park. 12/25/12 While there are about twelve bulls visible in this photo, there were as many as 50 bulls grazing meadow grass through the new snow.

Not nearly as precise and well composed as AllenP's blue ribbon winner . All I can say is... my animals are wild, live and free to flee. They were on the move, as evidenced by several instances of motion blur. Had they been statues, there would be no motion blur.
