I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: I've tried to decode this image and failed but I don't mind a bit. It frees me to see what I want to see. I do find it upbeat with echos of a brass band playing in a band stand on a summer's day. There are great colours here that are reminiscent of that season.
Critical stuff: The abstraction abstracts us and for me it keeps us remote as a viewer, we can't be in the scene.
Overall: I like it but I think it has a natural cap on its interest.
I promise... to tell me later what I'm looking at? I think I see some music instruments...? But although I can't tell what I see, I kind of like the image and the colours.
