Ingredients

1 pkg pork or beef Mexican chorizo
2 cups Large Elbow Macaroni
2 cups cheddar cheese, grated
1 cup pepper-jack cheese, grated and mixed with cheddar
3 cups half 'n half or heavy cream
1/2 cups panko bread crumbs
3 Tablespoons Flour
1 t. salt & pepper
Serrano, Jalapeņo, or bell pepper to taste for garnish

Boil macaroni 7 - 9 minutes until just al dente. Brown chorizo in saucepan, add salt, pepper and 3 Tbs flour to make rue from grease, cook 3 - 5 minutes. add 3 cups half-n-half while stirring and reduce heat. Add 1/2 cup cheese, bring sauce to a simmer stirring constantly. Layer in a casserole 1/2 macaroni, 1/3rd remaining cheese, and 1/2 sauce , top with a mixture of remaining cheese and bread crumbs.

bake at 350 for 35 minutes or until topping is golden brown and cheese bubbling. Garnish to taste with peppers

Ouch - hope your thumb doesn't hurt too much! Pleasing set up and lighting - looks inviting and makes me wish I was eating with you. I wonder if it might look better still if one of the plates had a portion already dished out? One minus - in the salad bowl, there is a white globule that clearly doesn't belong, and doesn't look appetising.

Did you injure your thumb making the mac and cheese....????? They yellow/green cast over the image diminishes the taste appeal, and the tilt seems odd.

great idea, great dof and colours and good comp, but my eye went straight to the salad bowl in front then the plates flanking it, to the wine glasses, and then to the pan of mac and chorizo. I would have swapped the position of the salad bowl and the pan of m'n'c. The black of the cast-iron pan would have broken up the browns and whites in the foreground.

Looks amazing! That's certainly a fill you up type meal.

Overall, I think some things could be done to help the image. There is a yellow color cast that makes everything less appealing. Ad the table is very busy with objects, maybe going a bit more minimalistic could help.
