 After 100's of shots of another concept I had of backlighting, this one accidentally came to mind when the dogs were lying on the living room floor under the window. Reece often does this pose. Using a tabletop tripod, +2EV, and lying on the floor, I snapped away. I cropped the photo to remove the unwanted drapery (and the other dog) on Reece's left.

Great portrait! The slightly blown highlights are a little distracting, but only very slightly so. Fantastic expression, pose, and composition. Great capture!

Very cute. the curtain makes a nice backdrop. Too bad there isn't just a little light reflected into those dark eyes.

Nice backlight. Great pose. The only think I don't like is the eyes seem blacked out. Probably nothing you could do to correct within the backlighting challenge. Great shot.

Who's not a sucker for a cute puppy? A nicely executed photograph, though the highlights are a little blown out on the dog's head and left side. How'd you get him/her to cooperate? I don't think I've ever taken a picture of the front end of an animal.

Neat pet-shot.. A bit of ight in the eyes would make this so much better.. A bit of low level fill flash if your camera can, or a mirror if not... Well caught. 6

This is wonderful. The expression on that dog, is precious. It really portrays backlighting imo. Very beautiful shot.
