Day and night all in one shot. This is part of a series I've been taking these past few weeks. and YES! I know it's kinda grainy. I actually Like that effect. Hopefully this image won't get disqualified... The exif data thing was messed up on the camera since I didn't know about the date thing on it. Oh well. Trying anyway.

wonderful color and framing

although I love the colors, there is too much in this shot that is black. Cropping in on part of the shot might have helped.

If I had a sky like that coming in.. I'd run!

Red sky at night - shepherds delight!

great play between light and dark, with highlights of colour...nice feeling of movemwnt

I like the 'idea', but it's too grainy/blurry for me - I bet it was awesome in 'real life' though.

Nice picture. Slightly faster shutter speed may eliminate some of the noise in the black areas.
04/25/2002 10:43:00 PM
Maybe do a despeckle on this in photoshop to correct the graniness. Cool colors.

The dark clouds really help this shot, but at only 41k, the compression is too high.

Nice.

I quite like the mood the grainyness give to the image.
04/22/2002 10:12:00 PM
kinda dark

Nice sunset.. or is it a sunrise? The photo looks a tad grainy... but the colors are nice :)
04/22/2002 07:52:00 PM
Looks grainy to me, but I think you did a good job with the available light.
04/22/2002 05:03:00 PM
Admittedly a hard shot to get. If your camera has an ISO adjustment, try shooting at ISO 50 or 100 with a slightly longer exposure.

good job.

too much night

Big sky country

Mmm, pretty. I love this time of day/night.

Picked up a lot of noise in this shot, too dark for me. I like the contrast between night and day

good attempt at a really difficult subject. Its hard to get good sunset pictures. A stronger silohette might have helped
04/22/2002 10:12:00 AM
HAhA. A sunset. Lame.
04/22/2002 08:04:00 AM
seems like its a little blurry.. i like the idea.. it is typical of a shot.. but i like the idea.. the photo could be better?
04/22/2002 07:54:00 AM
Nice sunset...looks a little grainy
04/22/2002 07:54:00 AM
If you had taken this maybe 15 minutes earlier it would have been more efective.
04/22/2002 07:05:00 AM
A simple sunset shot, offering not much of anything.
04/23/2002 03:46:00 PM
its a bit grainy. there is alot of black in this picture. Not overly interesting.
04/23/2002 02:33:00 PM
good shot
04/22/2002 02:39:00 AM
Maybe a "little" more brightness, and clearer outlines of whatever is on the picture..
04/22/2002 01:50:00 AM
Awesome shot. Too bad there's so much noise.
04/22/2002 01:22:00 AM
Why so grainy? This picture is dominated too much by black. The shapes in the horizon added to the picture, but not the huge black cloud. I notice what looks like an oil-rig in the background. Did you try a shot with just the rig and the sunset? I have seen many great shot in magazine like that.
