 The beach was too crowded, so was the sea! But the sight of the sun shining through the deck chair canvas was too good to miss. Borrowed a chair, sat in the sand and tried to find a suitable angle that didn't include people. Post processing: white point shift to warm, increased exposure by quite a lot (1.25), increased contrast, crop, resize, USM.
Canon EF 28-135mm IS USM at 28mm.

Nice and simplistic..the blue and yellow patterns on the deckchair make a nice contrast to the muted colours of the beach and help add interest to the image..8

Interesting problem here. Place the chair in the left of the frame for (maybe best) composition, but if you do, lose most of the shadow that shows Challenge detail. Still, the composition is so clean and pleasant it works anyhow. Good one! 9

Summer is over. The sun is lower in the sky. The light comes in at a lower angle. Time to put away the toys of summer and get back to work or school. This picture says all this to me. Excellent composition.

would have like this better if i could see more of the lake. or, given much of the foreground is sand, it would have been better with unblemished sand (not that you could pick up all the rocks without disturbing everything else, but there is just too much clutter detracting attention from the bright and colorful chair)

I wanna be in that chair. The footprints in the sand are a little distracting, but you had to get the chair there somehow. lol. Nice picture. Really makes me want to be in it. :)
