Nicely done. The stuff in the foreground really adds to the picture.

Lovely scene, not sure about the inclusion in this challenge??

cool, driftwood always looks great in b/w.
04/26/2002 07:33:00 PM
somewhat bland

I'm curious to know how well the water in this picture would have carried the transition if it weren't in black and white.
04/25/2002 04:49:00 PM
The horizon line seems a little too centered. Leave me wondering what I should focus on.

Nice shot -- I've got some ideas for spot touch ups if you'd like them (but since they don't do any good for the challenge...) *grin*

beware the tides of march..or is it april? Out of curiosity why did you shoot this as a B&W?
04/24/2002 12:44:00 PM
mmm, black and white can take a dirty beach and make it nice. very nice. a bit less sky and more driftwood could be interesting.
04/23/2002 08:22:00 PM
I like the dof the stump, channel marker, mountains, and clouds give this photo.
04/23/2002 05:57:00 PM
Good clarity, not to mention a great place to be :).
04/23/2002 05:46:00 PM
I like the sky, but I don't think the stump/driftwood is doing much. Maybe some more detail of where the water runs up the sand?
04/23/2002 10:18:00 AM
nice shot but more focus on subject needed
04/23/2002 09:23:00 AM
very interesting
04/23/2002 04:39:00 AM
Beautiful shot!

Its a nice photo, but not very interesting. I do like the driftwood.
04/22/2002 10:06:00 PM
really cool photo, i have a hard time understanding the transition aspect however
04/22/2002 07:37:00 PM
great contrast. really good use of b&w. love this!
04/22/2002 04:25:00 PM
The transition is there but as a black and white photo I would like to see a true white and a real black. You have captured many grays but neither black or white.
04/22/2002 02:38:00 PM
I like it...nice work
04/22/2002 02:36:00 PM
i like the black and white.
04/22/2002 10:55:00 AM
Nice view

Transition between high and low tide ? I guess here I only see the low tide. This reminds me of home though, very similar to where I grew up - would like to know where you shot this. Shot seems slightly blurred, a tripod might be useful to get sharper pictures.
04/22/2002 08:41:00 AM
Good idea
04/22/2002 08:13:00 AM
i dont see it
04/22/2002 07:24:00 AM
Although I can see the relation of this phot to the theme, the picture itself does not do much for me.
04/22/2002 07:15:00 AM
A high, different angle might put more focus on the actually sand/water to show off the low/high tide.
04/22/2002 07:09:00 AM
nice...
04/22/2002 05:07:00 AM
do you think that black and white depicts this scene better than colour?
