Unseen self portraits and team scores are up in the results thread. Congrats to  skewsme and  Melethia for their top scores, and top 5 results for Melethia, xianart, cfarrell, CWelch, and  muppet. Whew! |

For those of you following along at home, I got to go for another ride in a helicopter yesterday. On the way out, the light was awesome and the scenery gorgeous!! Of course I was sitting in a seat where had I tried to take any pictures, I would have taken a lot of shots of a door gunner and his gun, with very little bits of scenery. Sigh.... I did get to take some on the way back, which wasn't as scenic and the light wasn't as sweet, but these at least show that things are quite green this time of year (in irrigated regions). Also, here are some of the lake that's closest to where I work.

Things get kinda boring here sometimes....Hence, the rearranging. Every now and then I get to do fun stuff, like ride in helicopters and visit camps at abandonned power plants (which I didn't get to shoot - arrrgghh! - because we weren't there long enough!) I am beginning to look forward to going home. Got a scare today - boss wanted me to stay a month longer for a meeting he's coming down for... NOOOOO!!! But he changed his mind. Yay!

I thought I would have another brown ribbon for my heavenly shot. Not so, but so so, but look at the bottom -- a Fav!!! *dances a little jig*

I'm having fun in Hell. I put in a guaranteed low-scorer, which is currently at 4.3. Two comments along the lines of WTF? and one positive comment that totally got the mood I was trying for...
guess what? it's from a Team Sucker. :) |

Oh my, I just received a validation request for my self-portrait. I wonder why this would happen after the challenge and for a photo that only scored 5.0. Don't people have anything better to do than make trouble for Mrs. Grinch at this busy time of year?
P.S. There must be some other grinches out there I didn't know about, or maybe they are just trolls masquerading.

Is this week over yet ? Or can I just go to sleep until the weekend at least ?
Monday - got the news about my mom's cancer metastasizing into the brain.
Tuesday - lost hot water
Wednesday - got news that MIL ditched FIL's truck yesterday, found water leaking from the door jam of Boo's room. Had my own eye exam - got my eyes dilated, which gave me a nasty headache. Did manage to fix the hot water though.
Yet to come :
Thursday - DH's dental appointment
Friday - DH goes to our doctor about high blood pressure readings (> 145/85 - and he's only 27 yrs old)
