I'll look to see if I have any that are worthwhile. While we were sitting at the table at Starbucks, my back was to the street so I didn't see them approaching. I did get some shots later, but not of the two of them together, and I think I only got shots of the parked bikes.

But I'll check.

edit to add: I checked and I only have a shot of the bikes by themselves and one of him standing by himself talking on his cell phone.

Hey guys... I got an email from the couple of bicyclers who biked from California to Florida. They would love to see some of our pics. Could you guys email me any you don't mind giving to them? You can email to penrodc@comcast.net. Thanks! :)

This trip was so much fun. A lot of great photos from the weekend and prior to the weekend by Robert.

I had so much fun that I can't wait to start planning the Keys GTG.

So who wants to start that thread?

I'll wait a second or two.

No takers?

OK. I'll do it.

Here is the post.

Edited to ad the link.

Finally, here are some more shots from my trip up to St. Augustine.

I left several days earlier to take a relaxing drive along the side roads of Florida and stopped at a friends house in Okechobee for the night. She took me out onto the Kissimmee River on her boat and got me fairly close to this osprey carrying a bass.

She had to leave early the next day to pick up a monkey in Ft. Lauderdale and asked me to take some pictures of her animals for her. So there I was, by myself on her 5 acre property, just minding my own business taking some shots of the animals when I was suddenly attacked from behind by this guy...

He silently snuck up behind me, grabbed me around my midsection and dug his forearm claws into my sides. I screamed and let loose with a back kick that I have no idea how it missed him. I ran forward a couple of steps and turned around to see him calmly hopping away.

Having survived the attack, I continued my trip and stopped by to see greatandsmall in Sebastian. She and her husband took the day off of work to take me out in their boat onto the Sebastian River where we saw an unusual sight.

An osprey and a cormorant sitting near each other in the same tree. Granted, osprey don't prey on cormorants, but I've never seen them hang out so close to each other before.

After the boat trip dodging rain showers Roxanne BBQ'd a delicious dinner and had a couple of other friends over. She set me up across the street in a friend's cottage on the intracoastal waterway and I returned the next morning for breakfast. It was great to meet Roxanne and her husband and I hope that she will be able to attend the next Florida GTG.

Here is one more shot from St. Augustine of Skip shooting.......something???

Great shots everybody. I'll be posting some more soon.

I think that I'm gonna have to get one of those fisheyes. Looks like a lot of fun.

Great photos guys! Looks like it was a complete and total blast!

Oh and Skip, if we ever get the opportunity to shoot together again, I'm gonna be staying faaaaaarrr away from your wide angle. :-D

Can you believe we were all too busy playing with our cameras and chatting with each other to even notice she was there? Sheesh! The waiter is the one who told us she ran like mad when we walked in. lol

Oh, and yeah, good advice about the fisheye lens. What was I thinking?

Here are some of my favorites from this past weekend.

Cindi is ready to fire her cannon.

Gotta love the lightsphere.

Eric is ready to fire his cann...er...Nikon.

My preferred thirst quencher for the weekend.

This is what Cindi and I were laying down for.

He's planning his revenge on DPC.

Some of the gang.

The only thing that could have made this GTG better would have been more people. We relly missed Crystal & Elvis were looking forward to meeting them and several others among the "maybe" list. I sure hope everyone can make the next one, you guys just can't imagine how much fun these things are. Much good food, good drinks, good company and of course good photography.

I am so jelous. I wish I would have been able to go. My daughter was sick and I didn't want to leave her with a sitter. Your shots from the weekend are great. Keep them coming. You guys look like you had so much fun.

I would love to do a Keys GTG. I know my way around there pretty well. I grew up in Key West so I know where just about everything is. Keep me posted on that one.
