You could've just asked for a mint. ;-)

Great news! My prayers are with Bob for a full and quick recovery! Looking forward to seeing him back.

Thanks mamkrmjr (I doubt I pronounced that correctly in my head), the updates are always appreciated. :)

Good news.. I just talked to my sister (his wife) and all is well...
He's in recovery and may come home as early as tonite, or tomorrow.
He's got a little swelling/pain from the surgery (who wouldn't!), but other than that is doing well, up and talking.. and hopefully all the bad stuff has been taken care of.
I'll post again when I get more info - or when he is coming home.

btw, Art... my username isn't meant to be pronounceable..it's just a bunch of initials... :) I think the nickname I go by was already taken when I signed up... "Mak"..

Bob, just read this thread. Hope all is well, you will fight and get better, and come back here soon. From experience, one day you are doped up to the eyeballs, next, you are home and itching to get the camera going. Take your time recovering, and then realise how lucky you are to be alive and kicking butt.

Then, live your life for each day. That is the only one that counts!!

I didn't come across this thread until now so I'm sorry I was not able to wish you the very best before your surgery. I'm delighted to read that it went well and you are on the road to recovery.

Instead I shall send my strongest vibes for a speedy and painless recovery and hope that you are feeling back to your normal self as soon as possible!

All the bestest,
Kavey

I too just noticed this thread. It sounds like you were covered from head to toe in love and prayers!!! I am so happy to hear that everything went well. Life will be so sweet when you recover and don't have those headaches anymore!

Thank you everyone for all of your prayers, I am overwhelmed with the outpouring of support you gave me. I am at home now in my family's care. I look like someone punched me in the nose and in a week or so they will remove the stints from my nose and I will be able to breathe better (they went in through my nose to remove the tumor). But my headaches have stopped and my vision seems to be improving. Thank you all so much, all my love.

Wow! That's great news Bob. You will be surprised how quickly you recover, just don't rush things, take your time and get better soon.

Steve

Two years ago today, I was in ICU, recovering after a 6 1/2 hour op, and believe me, it does get better :))

I'm not sure you want the stints removed from your nose. *g* Springtime allergies are starting to hit my family with a vengance. We'd all love to have straws up our noses to breathe through. *g*
