It was the FIAs problem, in the end it is up to the FIA to put on a good show, they didn't. Sure Michelin showed up with the wrong tire, but there were many plans put forth, including Michelin flying in new tires to make the race happen. But in the end the FIA, in typical "we're untouchable" FIA fashion, choose to not take the fans into consideration at all and put on a poor show.

Having been an F1 fan for years and going to many races including all the races at Indy, this sport is almost dead to me.

I agree. Have you seen the proposed 2008 rules? Ridiculous. Hopefully they break from the FIA before then and keep the sport much like it is.

BUT,Michelelin DID fly in new tires, which they then also said were not safe to race on. Shame for everyone involved.

I didn't see where the new tires weren't any good. It's a shame the way it was handled.
Yea, they need to do something so they have more control, kind of like giving the keys to the inmates in a way, but better than Bernie having them.
My circle entry is back above 4 now so I feel better.

I used to watch every race, until Michael was winning every one. Now I will bow down and say I think he's a brilliant driver, but when you know the outcome of a race, what's the point, especially when you're not a ferrari fan....
my circle entry is spiralling down in score lol
