I used to watch every race, until Michael was winning every one. Now I will bow down and say I think he's a brilliant driver, but when you know the outcome of a race, what's the point, especially when you're not a ferrari fan....
my circle entry is spiralling down in score lol

I didn't see where the new tires weren't any good. It's a shame the way it was handled.
Yea, they need to do something so they have more control, kind of like giving the keys to the inmates in a way, but better than Bernie having them.
My circle entry is back above 4 now so I feel better.

I agree. Have you seen the proposed 2008 rules? Ridiculous. Hopefully they break from the FIA before then and keep the sport much like it is.

BUT,Michelelin DID fly in new tires, which they then also said were not safe to race on. Shame for everyone involved.

It was the FIAs problem, in the end it is up to the FIA to put on a good show, they didn't. Sure Michelin showed up with the wrong tire, but there were many plans put forth, including Michelin flying in new tires to make the race happen. But in the end the FIA, in typical "we're untouchable" FIA fashion, choose to not take the fans into consideration at all and put on a poor show.

Having been an F1 fan for years and going to many races including all the races at Indy, this sport is almost dead to me.

I mean the release of the new book! lol

Going around in circles would be NASCAR. puke.

yeah lol we went last year for my birthday and it was awesome. I know what you mean about the reason being more political, I could see the safety side of it though, but according to the race last weekend, mitchelin are paying for all the tickets of the people that came to see their teams race but didn't... wow, that's gotta be some bill huh?
I love the sound and the smell of the GP, when you see, hear and smell it for the first time, it takes your breath away. Can't understand why people think it's just cars racing round in a circle....weird!

Probably more political muggle girl. The Michelin teams in particulare are wanting to break from Formula 1 and start their new racing federation so they don't have to live under the increasingly pain in the neck F1 rules, and have a bigger share of the fortune that is made each year. Can't say I blame them.

Changing the race track on race day would be unfair to the Bridgestone teams that managed to show up with the right tires.

The problem with Michelin's tires was only for 1 turn on the track, where they could have slowed down. Sure, all the Bridgestone teams would have beaten them ( maybe not Minardi) but they still would be competing against each other for points.

They didn't race because they didn't want to do that, and it was another good way to cause a fight with the FIA.

By the way, aren't you like 2 saturdays away from paradise?? lol

I've no idea if it was being bought or whatever - I was in a rush to get home - but it's certainly not street legal! :o)

I think the reason the teams didn't want to race was actually down to safety.

Not for nothing, but are you kidding?? I mean, are you seriously making fun of Ferrari and their record with Formula 1?? One off year and you feel confident enough to make fun of them? Wow! Hopping on the Kimi bandwagon, are we? Hopefully I'm mistaken.

I suppose in the Olympics for the 400 meter relay race, if some of the teams accidentally brought hiking boots instead of track shoes they should just move the race onto a dirt mountain track instead?

They screwed up, they showed up with the wrong technology, happens all the time. It's not the FIA or Ferrari's problem, you can't blame them. They could have raced, they just didn't want to if they couldn't win.

Yes, the sight of this car was definitely stopping traffic and making several pedestrians slow down (or stop and take photos with their phone cams). I thought it was just a F3000 or similar car at first glance, but then I looked carefully while digging the camera out, and realised that it's a very recent (I don't think it's this seasons model, but could be wrong) Ferrari F1 car. Pity whoever they were getting it out for wouldn't be able to drive it (legally)...

The real issue with the car is clearly written on the small wing atop the side pod! Check out the bloke stopping traffic! Good job.

Love the inclusion of the woman with the cell phone--apparently acting non-chalant while clicking away with the phone's camera feature?

i wonder how your image compares to the one the woman in front of you shot ;-)

Silverstone testing, I suppose. They need to do all that this season.

All that money into the car, and they can't afford AAA?
