You expressed my thoughts perfectly... although "irritate" is maybe too harsh for me. |
Me too, although "irritate" is not harsh enough. |

Kat, can't you read?
It says "Description: Photograph your camera bag in an interesting and creative way."
YOUR camera bag.....not one that belongs to someone else. So if you photograph your husbands camera bag, I'm gonna give you a 1 and put DNMC in the comments.
BTW - what do the camera bags look like so I'll know you're photographing the right one? |
You are such a toot, rofl! Part of that statement was the whole who's, whose thing, but no one caught it. :P
P.S.
I'm not tellin' ya squat! :P 'sides...how do you know I didn't BUY the bag my husband uses, muahahaha! |

Personally, I love this challenge. I had an idea hit me instantly, as soon as I read it.
Some of you people might need to take a break from this site, I think.

Really? You honestly have to have EVERY PHOTOGRAPH you take be one with value for yourself or a potential "outside-of-DPC" viewer?
Wow.

Edward, I did not say I have to have, I said I would like to... and not for every photograph I take, but only for the photos I spend a significant time and effort on, the ones which would become a part of my public record... . And of course, as everybody else, I take plenty of meaningless snapshots... but I don't put them in challenges, post them on other photo sites, or on my own website...

Well then, take the CHALLENGE, and photograph something with a camera bag that has meaning and relevance to you. Instead of limiting your potential and just giving up before you ever even start.

Isn't it a little bit like saying to an artist (I am not implying anything about myself here, mind you), ok take the CHALLENGE now, put down that paintbrush of yours, take a dog poop and create something of meaning and relevance... why should he/I (if not for the DPL sake)? |

No, it's like telling an artist that is bitching because the Art Club he decided to join is having a show featuring dog poop, and he thinks it's beneath him to enter anything, to put up or shut up :D

Reminds me of the AC/DC song:
Well I'm upper upper class high society
God's gift to ballroom notoriety
And I always fill my ballroom
The event is never small
The social pages say I've got
The biggest bags of all
I've got big bags
I've got big bags
They're such big bags
And they're dirty big bags
And he's got big bags
And she's got big bags
(But we've got the biggest bags of them all)
And my bags are always bouncing
My bagroom always full
And everybody cums and cums again
If your name is on the guest list
No one can take you higher
Everybody says I've got
Great bags of fire
I've got big bags
Oh I've got big bags
And they're such big bags
Dirty big bags
And he's got big bags
And she's got big bags
(But we've got the biggest bags of them all)
Some bags are held for charity
And some for fancy dress
But when they're held for pleasure
They're the bags that I like best
My bags are always bouncing
To the left and to the right
It's my belief that my big bags
Should be held every night
We've got big bags
We've got big bags
We've got big bags
Dirty big bags
He's got big bags
She's got big bags
(But we've got the biggest bags of them all)
(We've got big bags)
(We've got big bags)
And I'm just itching to tell you about them
Oh we had such wonderful fun
Seafood cocktail, crabs, crayfish
(But we've got the biggest bags of them all)
(Bag sucker)
(Bag sucker)
(Bag sucker)
(Bag sucker) |

Frankly, I'm surprised we're not up to Camera Bag V already. This is like the poster boy for DP challenges. The stock photographers must be wetting themselves right about now. Camera bag? OMG, I have that already! Oh and I already have access to a pretty model, landscape, etc to use as my wow factor gimmick. It's sure to blind them voters so that they never think to ask why, why why? Saweet!
All kidding aside, there has to be some idea worth exploring. Whether it connects strongly with the challenge topic shouldn't matter to anyone except those playing the game.

yup...sounds like a cop out to another "Product Shot". Whatever. I am working on "Water Drop MCMII"...
All good though...
At least the challenges are predictably uninteresting......

Geesh, you have only been here since February, if you are bored and so experienced so soon, maybe this is not the site for you.
Glock, it is time to get your thinking hat on, think outside the box, push yourself. They are called challenges for a reason. Not every one is going to be to you taste or style, but dammit, it is a challenge!!!! =P |

Thats why I love this site actually. Not only does it make me think outside the box, but within 20 seconds of posting something, someone has already stomped on me.....
BEST $25 I have ever spent.....
Everyone (including myself at times) seems to be such a "Keyboard Killer".....
Tell you what Juliet, instead of telling people the reasons NOT to participate, why not provide some thoughtful and useful reasons TO participate. I am sure the mods and the users would appreciate it....
I was simply posting a thought that was in concurrence with another that was previously posted.
AND....
I took offence to the comment you made regardind how long I have been around........
If this site is going to be Italy in the 30's as far as ideas go, then I am OUT!!!!!
