True, and appropriate, but every other time a challenge with an OOTB topic has been tried, the usual types of images still seem to grab the popular vote. Perhaps this time  Posthumous has entered eye candy and DrAchoo had submitted something dark, moody and blurred. |

I have to admit that after reading the last six posts that I am more confused than ever.
I'm not in this challenge but I'm staying current on this and the other discussion thread on the Fine Art Challenge in hopes of learning a lot. |

LOL!!! I'm not in the least bit surprised by what those two are reporting.
Personally, I love it. I've never thought of myself as much other than a recorder of sights, but apparently, the way I put a twist on things to convey my message is working in this case.
My entry is much more of a gut-level thing than I usually put forth...

That ain't never gonna happen...safe to say. I think Don would burst into flames if he even thought of entering eye-candy or tried to take a shot to win the popular vote.

It would certainly be OOTB. For him. His head bursting into flames would make an awesome freestudy entry as well. |

| Sorry, I gave the wrong impression. I have a 5.8 now, not a 4.4. The 4.4 was the low in the voting, but it rebounded. |

I think many of my signature style shots would have fit into this challenge but I tried to be different. That was probably a mistake.

My score has had a nice quiet little climb uphill (yay!) to where I might be beating the Doc, but not the Dead Guy. Better post now while it's on the right side of the pinnacle... it's teetering back and forth at this point.

That's only one voter of the likely 200 that will vote on your shot. The judging is a side-challenge thing anyway, nothing to get too worked up about, unless you are into that sort of thing of course. Given we can't opt out of the judging I hope all the judges are going to leave comments on our shots. |
