my philosophy is once it gets over 95 degrees its just plain hot.... dry or damp its still hot.

well here in good ol' kentucky we've had sun and 80-90 degee F...then thunderstorms/tornados/hail in the afternoon. its been alternating sun and rain and awful weather for about two weeks...

Well, you know the old saying, "If you don't like the weather in Texas, just wait a few minutes." :o) LOL

PS - there are really only three seasons in Texas...cold, hot, and damn hot!

There's only two in Ottawa. Winter and construction.

hooray for texans!!

i was so giddy that college station made it a whole week without being flooded with rain, but lo and behold, last night i looked out my window to see a rather epileptic sky with a downpour on the way. maybe i should have pulled out the old coolpix for some horrible, blurry, terribly exposed lightning pictures ;)

All you people living in places like Texas and Arizona and complaining about the hot weather should count your blessings. I live in Chicago, and I am stuck living there as I need my job. I would LOVE to trade places with somebody living in a climate which is warm at least SOME of the year. Chicago is cold and dreary all year round. We get a real summer perhaps once every 5 years. Already this year the weather patterns have made it depressingly obvious that this will be yet another year without a summer, making it the 4th cold summer in a row. We had a few nice days in April and early May and are now stuck in our typical depressing 'summer' weather pattern. Either it rains all day (just during the day, NEVER at night) like it did every damn day during Memorial Day weekend, or else when the sun finally does come out it will be accompanied by a bone-chilling wind blasting off of Lake Michigan. It is common in Chicago to have the majority of the summer (June, July, and August) weekends not reach 70 degrees on both days.

OK, maybe places like Phoenix, Houston, and New Orleans might be a LITTLE too hot in the summer, but what the hell, they have generally gorgeous weather the other 9 months of the year. Chicago is cold all damn year around; even in July you cannot count on warm weather here.
