Saw this online and had to share:
Why Pets Hate Halloween
Some of the doggie/cat costumes and pose/expressions are just too funny:-) |

I think that it is cruel to dress a dog or cat up in anything. I can promise that for this halloween my dog will stay nekkid.

Those cats must have been sedated to allow that done to them. Though a cat I grew up with could probably be persuaded to put on a cinderella costume. |

It really is a waste of money to buy clothes for your pets.....My ex-wife always wanted to buy clothes for her dog. I was on the dogs side. When I would take her out walking I would kindly take off the sweater, jacket, hat, or what ever her dog was wearing. The dog loved me for it....All my ex would say was..."but it's cute". And because I was the only one with a job, I finally got her to quit wasting money on stuff like that and actually buy something worthwhile....Cruel I tell ya just plain cruel.

Actually, some dogs aren't equipped for colder weather, especially certain smaller breeds. They don't get a winter coat like others do, and it is recommended that if you take them outside in cold weather that you put a 'sweater' on them to keep the core warm.
Of course, this is breed/individual dog dependent, so it's up to the owner of whatever dog they have to make sure that their dog is properly equipped for cold weather.
Just putting it out there that not all dogs you see in clothes are just because it's 'cute' and/or unnecessary. Of course, if the dogs you're seeing are out in silly clothing on a warm spring or summer day, then yes, it's probably unnecessary. Life, of course, is full of unnecessary. You're in the military, you should know this ;D |

she would dress up her dog on the summer and spring day just because it looked cute. That dog had more clothes than I did.

I'm still laughing here. The looks on those pets faces cracked me up. You can see them thinking "are you kidding me"? Thanks for the laff. |

Did not get a chance yesterday to reply...
There are two ways:
Dangerous Way
Dare to dress up the cat and loose 3 fingers in the process. If you manage not to loose fingers, prepare for cat to take revenge in one form or another later Simon's Cat 'Cat Man Do'
The Safe Way
Take just a regular ol' photo of your cute kitty. Then load it up in Photoshop and image process the clothes onto the cat:-) |

Have to admit I like the baghead. All that one's missing is the initials DPC! |

As a counterpoint to that, the elephant dog (nylon stocking over face) strikes me as being insanely cruel. Who'd do that to their dog? One can just hope it was on there only for the photo opportunity, and immediately removed.
Number 16 or thereabouts in the slideshow...

It is #14, I went and looked for it. I missed that one on first viewing. Now that I have had a bit more time to really look back on the images (the new computer is *knock-on-wood* finally fixed and running correctly), I definately see where there are those that crossed the line - #14 is the worst because of the constriction and maybe even blocked breathing passages on that poor dog. I wish I had worded my original post a bit differently, but then it very aptly stated/demonstrates "Why Pets Hate Halloween". The ones that I liked and I still think are good is #3 with the dracula pose/expression, #15 with the posed Musketeers (I see three happy dogs - needs work with the white backdrop though;-) ), and #28 just with that big happy dog expression is priceless (it would still make me smile even without that getup). |

My cat likes wearing shirts. I treat him like a baby.
