I like it the way it is. You can have a good laugh reading the totally uninformed opinions expressed by some of the people here, then go look at cool pictures of nekkid ladies. :) |
I'd prefer pictures of nekkid ladies to pictures of nekkid POWs. I also prefer olive oil to the refined mineral kind and dreamers to analysts.

Wow that is a typical american view of the world.....IGNORANT
Are you aware of how rampant poverty is in your country
Do you know 1 in 6 children are starving in America
Do you realize the rich make up a very small percentage of the 250 million
I personally dont know anyone that dosent own a minium of 2 vehicles in my country, and gee i own a 4 wheel drive and my wife has one of those new beetles.
And gosh i drive to the shop,.... DONT PASS OUT! i know its a shock that other countries may use a vehicle to drive to the shop

I am now finishing my diploma in IT while being paid, and i am so thankful i have the security regardless of what happens.
I have been to america on a number of occasions and i compare your country to a third world one, it is slum ridden.
Americans are the most ignorant people on the planet, and they actually believe they live in a good country (now that is truely laughable)
Wake up mate and open your eyes most european and australasian countries are far far far superior to america, and they dont have to be brainwashed to believe that

So you are saying your country won't survive without oil either because you are just as wasteful? And you are proud of that? Furthermore, what part of my rant makes you think I am implying that America is better than any other country? The part where I discuss how "proud" I am of the average SUV driving, overweight, suburb dweller? Where are you getting your "facts" from about America- Jerry Springer? 1 in 6 kids is starving?! With those statistics, I should know lots of starving kids, but I don't know any. Oh, and unemployment in America pays you up to $506 a week as a percentage of your previous salary if you are laid off. |

Oh sailracer you poor ignorant sod , it took me 2 seconds to back up my statement of "1 in six children starving"
If you want me to continue proving that this is the case ill find a quote with the exact words i used, but youll just embarras yourself.....poor naive fello..LOL
"It is home to one out of every six children in America. It is home to more than 33 million people trapped within its boundaries. CCHD is working to break the cycle of poverty in America. "
Gosh this ones worse....shall i continue my ignorant friend ;)
"About 15 million children -- one out of every four -- live below the official poverty line."
And as for government funding i never knew that usa paid the unemployed, there is no limit to how much we recieve here as it depends on everyones circumstances, ...so no matter what happens (fired, left job etc) the USA government will always pay you until a job is found???

The statistic says that one in six children are living in poverty, not that one in six children are starving. There is a difference. I know that the school where I work (which is a low income district, and is very comparable to many, many school districts across the nation in size, ethnicity, economics, etc.) has a 54% low SES rate (socioeconomic status), meaning 54% of the students who attend qualify for the free and reduced lunch program. Their families have incomes ranging from below the current poverty level up to 185% above it. We have 1200 students, and I would venture to say that a very small percentage might actually go hungry. I am sure that it happens on occasion, but I don't think that one in six are truly starving.

The specific quote you mention is referring to poverty (defined in economic terms), not starvation. There is quite a difference. Feel free to continue to try to prove your claim and save me from my ignorance... |

Well if youd like i can find those exact words...americans are unaware of thier situation just like they (not all) think its ok to murder for money and have no problem killing innocent people (after all USA have the highest gun deaths in the world)

Unemployment insurance is typically paid for up to 6 months while you look for another job and is contingent on you actually looking for work. |

No, it is paid until you find a job, or until you run out your benefits in 6 months, whichever comes first.
Some portion of the money comes from taxes everybody pays while they are working and the rest is required to be paid by the company you previously worked for. |

Personally, I'm very glad you hate the US and chose not to live here. We already have plenty of childish/ignorant people here. One more might be one too many.
I saw that you requested your profile be removed, something about us being scum. I'm assuming since you don't want to deal with us "scum" you won't ever read this and won't be replying. Have a nice life.
PS, anyone that says "my country is better then your country" is just as childish as the children arguing whose dad could kick spiderman's ass. |

Well...here, those who draw unemployment insurance are generally expected to FIND A JOB within the six month time frame. Unfortunately, that doesn't always happen, but the unemployement insurance system is not designed to support families forever. It is intended to help in times of crisis after loss of employment (through no fault of the individual) until work is found again. I don't know how it is in your country, but in ours, that's the way it is supposed to work.

Interesting, here everyone gets paid even if you havnt worked for 10 years i guess it encourages the lazy to never get a job, but also creates security for those who do.
The government pays and there is no insurance....there are people here who have never worked (small percentage)

Sounds like your country is the perfect place for a lazy person that never wants to work. America sucks, we ecourage people to pull their own weight.
I'm surprised to see you still here. I though you wanted nothing to do with us "murdering scum." |

Wow still here!!! So when you asked to remove your profile, were you just showboating to try to prove how much you hate America and didn't really mean it, or did you change your mind and just can't get enough of us?

Ahh, New Zealand. A few years ago I had head hunters trying to get me to take some jobs down there. They said technology was about 20 years behind the US and any engineer with half a brain can make a killing there.
Now I know why. People aren't encouraged to learn or improve. They get paid for not working. Thanks for resolving a question I had been pondering for awhile.
