Deb said I could join. Honest. I've got the PM to prove it!
Okay, I uploaded this the other day. It does have a snapshot feel to it, but in the spirit of the side challenge, I'll try to get some stuff out here that I otherwise might not have shared.

I took advantage of the Government's 'Cash for Clunkers' program and bought a new Kia Soul. My '95 van had 175k miles on it and was starting to fade. I improved my average mpg by 10 and received a nice discount ($4500). |

With all the talk of washroom attendants etc, here is the Gents by the River Thames in Windsor.

Ah, but for some reason I see it as having hope - that love is better than time, money, etc. |

To thirst for love is surely the first step for everything. |

That'll work too ... :-)
I think that part of what distinguishes "art" from propaganda/advertising is that one's interpretation of a work of art will vary with one's experiences, values, and outlook, rather than being dictated by the artist. |

Paul, to some extent that might be true, but the artist can lead the viewer.
Photo 1, the lighting, color, noise and angle brings in a disturbed feeling. The unfinished statement allows for interpretation. In this context a negative one.
Photo 2, composed, color is right, lighting is comfortable to the eye. The statement complete there is little confusion, in fact several know the relationship to song.
Photo 1, raw, angry.
Photo 2, a nice poem |

This was taken this morning at a house fire.
The story:
At 05:01am the Lunenburg, VT fire department was toned out for a fully involved structure fire. The above photo and the additional 10 images in my portfolio are what happened. I actually took about 400 photo's, but a lot of those were technical shots for reconstruction of the incident. I arrived on the ambulance at about 05:25 or so. It was really foggy and we had a ways to go to get there. I didn't even come close to the speed limit during most of the ride to the scene.
Here they are in order of time taken (for some reason they weren't in order when zipped and uploaded):

If you named them, I think the ZIP programs put them in the archive in alphabetical order. If you have a series, you can preface all the filenames with ordinals to force the order:
01_FirstFile.jpg
02_SecondFile.jpg
etc. |

I'm taking some liberty here 'cause it's my birthday......but only because I wanted to share how I was shown some great beauty in the normal course of a summer Sunday's events......a flower on the way to church, my lovely and nice friend, Sara, and the sun on the armoire in the living room.

I'll behave from now on and try to limit my offerings to the best one I get for the day.
I guess I never realized how much I shoot......I really do take my camera everywhere.
