It's the first time for me on DPC that I do not understand why my entry scored lower than expected. I put more work than usual into this shot (admitted, a lot of it was walking twice to the location), so it makes me wonder were I failed. I would be very grateful if someone enlightens me :)

PS Persistency is an english word!

My first reaction to seeing your image was what a horrible colour you've chosen for the border and text. To my eye it clashes with the picture itself.

As for "Persistency", it may be an English word, but it's not one that's in common usage so "Persistency and your path will take shape" doesn't quite sound right, Persistence, would have worked better for me.

Thanks for your comments! So I reckon it's more the poster which is weak, than the picture itself.

I am also not liking the font and border color. It could have been better if you just set it in white. With regard to the photo itself, I liked the movement of the water. The quality of the image is very satisfactory. I also liked how you composed it.

Cheers!

I suppose I am in agreement with the font and color. But the bigger bug for me is the word Persistency, as already stated.

As far as the actual picture it's self, I think you did a wonderful job!

I gave it a 5 because of the perceived misspelling. Otherwise it would have likely gotten a 6 from me, possibly a 7. Even if that is an actual word, it is not in common usage these days and, as I said in my in-challenge comment, the Firefox spell checker underlined it as unknown. (On the other hand, the Firefox spellchecker at one time did not recognize the word "Firefox", so...)

In these two challenges, which are heavily dependent upon the caption placed in the image, I gave more weight to awkward spelling and grammar than if a title was misspelled in a normal challenge.

I understood the relationship to the caption as the waterfall wearing down the rocks over time and creating it's own path.

BTW, in my book anything over a 5.5 is doing pretty well. Keep in mind you are measuring broad appeal and it is an average of opinions. It takes a good entry just to come in mid-pack around here.
