I didn't mind the joke... I was expecting one, actually. But, mine didn't come until after I was asleep 11:15pm (yeah, I'm a woos), so I didn't see it until the next day. Still didn't mind it. Just folks having a bit of fun.

I would have preferred a Speed Challenge.

We haven't had one in a long while... *sigh*

I don't mind the prank which completed on April 1. I do think the SC should monitor the aberrant behavior in the voting arena. But, really, I don't care! It's pretty hard to take a "Jackass, the Movie" philosophy seriously. I think I have it narrowed down. If you thought the movie, "Jackass, the Movie" was funny (original, or any sequels), then you really liked the SC and Admin's April 2 "joke". Am I right? It's a generation and culture thing, I think! If you trip an old, crippled lady on the street, and she falls, do you laugh your ass$ off, or do you have compassion for her plight. (Again, all my comments today are belated April Fool's jokes. ROFLMAO!!!!!!!)

mine arrived on April 2nd so the joke was kind of lost. I ended up just thinking SC had screwed up... which isn't too far from the truth I guess.

The biggest problem with the new DPC is too much seriousness. It used to be when people were being seriously, they were still not being serious, now when people are being serious they are being REALLY SERIOUS. I complained about this back in December.

But yeah, don't stress out so. :)

Serious enough for some but not serious enough for others. Overall I think I was old DPC serious and not new DPC serious but then if I were new DPC serious then the thread would have taken too much of a serious turn and ended up all serious and stuff.

LOL - before this thread gets locked because of lack of gravity, consider this.
Every year since DPC began, something outrageous has taken place on April Fools Day.

As usual, there was chatter about what it would be THIS year before the big day and during the big day.

Lulled into (false) security, by NOTHING happening people dropped their collective guard.

Then, at the eleventh hour (well, Eastern Daylight Savings Time anyhow) the other shoe dropped.

The joke broke.

Now, outrage, cries of horror, beatings of horses have occurred.

Truly, we have been April Fooled. I can hardly wait 'till next year.

OK, one last rant. Just because I didn't enjoy the joke doesn't mean I don't have a life. I work on a mental health unit in a hospital and focusing on a fun hobby is what helps keep me going. Suggesting that people who didn't enjoy the joke should visit children's hosp. is insensitive. Come and visit my mental health unit and witness the tragedy of this illness. We need to be kind to each other and encourage each other. Calling people who were upset poor losers is still mean, no matter what you say.
