And I'm actually thrilled to have made it to a 5. It started very low.
I gave out a few 1's, 2's, and 3's in this challenge and I almost never do that. I left comments to explain on each on. I felt many were DNMC because the main source of lighting was not also the subject.
It hurt me to do it, too, since some were really good images.
On the other hand, I gave out many more 10's, 9's, and 8's than I usually do because there are some REALLY, REALLY good images entered into this challenge, IMO. |

So, when does one decide to pull an image from the challenge? I worked hard to meet the topic description but still got one comment (not from you) that the person thinks light was coming from something other than the subject. Now I know this isn't true, but I obviously didn't portray it well or there would be no doubt. My score right now is 4.3 (it started at a 3.8 so at least it's climbing) but if I realize the picture is going to bomb should I ask to have it removed?
