HAHAHA - I hate to be the DNMC police so I pretty much just found the color ones and voted on them, to get to 20%. I found one that I thought was awesome, and since I couldn't tell if it was a conversion or not, I gave it the benefit of the doubt because it is a stunning image. | Hey! My score just went from 81 votes w/ aver 5.27 to 81 votes w/ aver 5.19. Someone really had second thoughts about it. I don't think I've ever had that large a change in the average without the number of votes changing. |

Mine dropped by almost the same amount, also without additional votes. Someone out there must really be disgruntled! Time to burn their village. |

i just need to have a whinge about ppl who say one thing and do another .. its one of my pet hates ..
check this out ..
this is the comment .. "One of the top 2 images in this challenge IMHO. 10"
and this is the score i was given .. 1 ..
i know this coz i have laurie's  L2 voting analysis thingo & i hadnt received any other votes or comments for some time ..
if it was someone other than the commenter who gave me the vote of 1, and the commenter really gave me a 10, then it would'v evened out .. but my score dropped nearly .1 ..
why bother commenting at all ..

At one point, when i switched over to the keyboard number voting , versus the mouse. I clicked the number 1 and then 0 thinking I was giving out 10's. I didn't know that you had to click 0 .
I gave out this 1 (10) to Lydiatoo and her hubby beat her in that challenge adn they had had a bet going on, I fessed up as soon as I realized what I had done.
So it may be an innocent mistake like mine was.

i've dropped from a 6.9 this morning and after 3 votes i'm down to 6.7 ..:)

Hi Roz,
You've stumbled up against the fatal flaw in the spreadsheet - that it can tell you what the change is in your average score but not who caused it.
I've checked your comments and the votes cast on your image, and the person who said they gave you a 10 really did give you a 10. They were just coming back to comment and coincidentally commented at the same time you got a low vote. Sometimes people go through voting first and then comment later, and that is what happened here. Your poor commenter and 10-giver is being unfairly cast as a troll. :( Send your 10-giver some love! |

i did the unforgiveable sin of actually pm'ing the commenter .. said i was surprised to get a vote of 1 after such a glowing comment ..
i didnt believe you could get a comment and a score at the same time and them not be linked ..
i realise now how wrong i was ..
i've apologised to he commenter .. she wrote back saying that she did indeed give me a 10 yesterday and commented today ..
i suggested to her that she give the score and the comment at the same time, because i dont think i'd be an isolated instance ..
i'll never make that mistake again .. :)

if ppl are unsure whether an image has been unsaturated or not they can always put it in photoshop or wotever and boost up the saturation to max .. that shows wots going on . :)

I don't think you need to worry about the "brown zone" until you get around 4.2 or below. If you want a race there though, I'm at 4.73.. |

Well, it's a grey photo ... grey in color, but still grey. My score is very grey, too! No comments. At one point I reached the 5.0, now again below that.
Will stop checking for the time being! |

(Oh nevermind. That is the begin challenge I posted). For grey I am at a 5.7 still. It must be a fiver because even with extra votes since the last time I looked it is still a 5.7! hahah.

I'm not complaining but I know my image isn't as good in absolute terms as my score might indicate; but I'll take it all the same!
It is still scoring higher than my Free Study image which I know is way better - the nature of the quality in Free Study challenges I suppose. I think if I entered my 'Grey' shot in a Free Study it would score about 5.3... |

| I'm not holding my breath - lots of time yet; in fact a quick check now shows 6.4396 with no change in the number of votes so still quite vulnerable to a score change. |
