It was based on the number of nominations each photo received. Your nomination WAS your vote. Each person got one and only one.

Yep...she is in bathing suit. I am not sure why the "hidden due to content" is there. Maybe someday it can be removed. I am honored to have my image amongst the many great images. On a side note, I don't see the image that I nominated? Maybe I did it wrong?

Sorry about that. You did nothing wrong, when posting I failed to enter your nomination. Please accept my apologies.
This is the the photograph you nominated

I have added it to the OP as well.

Again my apologies to you and the photographer.

Actually that would be a tie for second, a solo 4th, and a tie for 5th :-)

Can we know how many nominations these images received?

Congratulations to the following photographs that were nominated. Listed in numerical order.

Yes, great collection of images. Congrats to all. I'm sorry I didn't get around to nominating one, though at the time it seemed like a daunting task to single out a favorite.

If anyone's interested, here's how the images placed in their respective challenges (in the order in which the images are shown)

1
145, 3, 12, 3, 127
15, 154(of 155!), 1, 5, 4
1, 1, 1, 90, 98
49, 20, 1, 2, 1
129, 107, 1, 67 (Posthumous blue), 13
11, 1, 1, 51, 2
2, 22, 10, 1, 1
111, 57, 1, 2, 1
9, 105, 27, 19, 148

And now, for the moment you've all been waiting for: the best photographer in DPC, based on number of images nominated, is none other than the wonderful Melethia, who had 3 separate images nominated as best of 2008. And one of those was only 1 place removed from a brown ribbon :-)

WTG, Deb!

Amazing, huh? Wins more challenges than any other single concept, yet garners not \even one People's Choice nomination :-)

I counted 22 water drop type shot ribbons last year and 39 shots where water was used for some kind of reflection in a landscape, I would say that is the most used concept. Of course I only see two of those nominated. :)

Heh! How very cool! Sending out all those checks regularly really paid off! :-)

Seriously, I am very honored. Mostly I'm very VERY pleased with the wonderful diversity of this collection. 'Tis nice to see!
