Out for a walk at the weekend, and I spotted this heron standing next to a crow in a field. I was drawn to the serendipity of their poses  . Just after I had taken the photo, another crow flew down  , and the crow that had been in shot moved out of the way. It seemed that the new bird was intent on harassing the heron  . A moment after this shot (and irritatingly the end of the CF card!)  the heron gave in and flew off.
Now off to try and catch up on my commenting, which has been neglected over the last week! |

Finally got out to shoot something today. The really cool ducks (Red-headed, Lesser Scaup, Ring-Necked, Ruddy) all stayed in the middle of the lake where I could get enough of a shot to identify them, but not good enough to show anyone ;-) So here are some more cooperative ducks:

 I know I've put in dragonflies already; this is coz it's Valentine's Day and I haven't got anything else that evokes that in any way. Unfortunately I already put in the one that was heart-shaped.

Is this S C over? I think that I am outta here. I will try to post some more comments in a few days.
My thanks to all of you for your thoughtful and enjoyable comments about my photos in this S C.
I have greatly enjoyed seeing the wildlife from different parts of the world and getting to know the DPC'ers in the S C better.

I suppose it was intended to go from mid Jan to mif Feb but I think some are just getting warmed up. If it keeps going, but you don't, all the best in your next adventure. We will miss your great contributions. Thanks for sharing them.
