Sandhill cranes picking the bugs from a pasture in
S W Florida.
They migrate through Florida this time of year.

Nice capture! What a nice find! You really have some variety in your shots. :)

I've seen them in flocks like this. My husband phase3 and I found some late one afternoon in the Holopaw area. We took some photos but his came out better.

The biggest birds I see flocking are crows, and never in this quantity. Your flocks are way cooler than mine!

That is quite a flock. It is interesting to learn about the habits of exotic wildlife from someone familiar with them.
I suppose this sc was intended to run mid Jan to mid Feb but I think some are just getting warmed up. If it continues, but you don't, all the best in your next adventure. We will miss your great contributions. Thanks for sharing them with us. Thanks for the helpful comments, too.
