An Exclusive open challenge idea.

Landscapes can be beautiful things, but see too many pictures of mountains and you start to think that all of them are the same. You can make each view special by providing context, and one way to do that is to include a foreground element that complements your view.

Using the basic rule set take a picture of a landscape, where you have a clear foreground subject to complement the background.


OR

Using the basic rule set take a picture of a landscape, where you have a clear back ground subject to complement the foreground.

landscapes are all about the foreground! I agree, lets do this one

I looked through the top 60(first page) or so photos on DPC and only a couple of the landscapes have a definitive foreground subject.

Of the top 60 photos, these two have the most obvious foreground subject(rock or rocks).

This is why I love my 10-20mm lens, completely changed the way I shoot!
