It's been awhile since I've been here, and this was the first thread I found and I'm terribly excited about it, though much too late to truly participate, and it wouldn't be all that fair to try since I start school again on Wednesday... but here's the one I got about a year and a half ago at Mesa Verde.
Enjoy!

My foot problems have flared up again, sigh... I can hardly move. Anyone care to join me in a simple salad?

Sometimes a nice picture is right there in front of you. Or this case, on the front porch.

I so fell out of this despite my best intentions! I got very far behind with business books and the house while vacationing in December ... my lensbaby is still in the camera bag and I guess this time around it's going to have to stay there. Hopefully I can catch the next side challenge! |

Man, you're all fast! It's hard to keep up with the posts. And if you're like me you're not making much time to browse back through the shots you've already commented on. But try it (I just did) ... looking at comments that were posted after mine. There's some seriously thought-provoking stuff that I'd have otherwise missed. Here's a good example. This shot;
by Melethia is one of many posted here that rewards a second look,
and also has a number of interesting 'late' comments about the role of focus/unfocus and 'suggestion'.
Same kind of developed discussion can be seen on many other shots. Just go back a few pages and click 2 or 3 thumbs at random. See what's been said since you were there; it's interesting & instructive. |

I took a small break from photography, but couldn't stay away for long...

Day 20:
Founding Father
Back for a moment in time. I really wish I could have participated more in this side challenge. I have been real busy with my upcoming retirement from the Marine Corps (Friday). Sorry for not being able to comment on all the high quality shots. I'll see what next week brings.
