I was more serious with my second attempt. I associate flowy white curtains with dreams, so I tried to bring those out along with the shadows in the room. I ended up getting a big white blob above the kitty's head, so then I smudged the background to death. I softened the whole image in Neat Image, and then dodged and burned to bring out highlights and the kitty's markings.

You stinker! You took my idea of black and white and made it better. OMG ripoff. :)

"I love meeces to pieces" some cartoon character from my childhood whose name escapes me

He actually said "I hate meeces to pieces." His name is Mr. Jinx, and the meeces names were Pixie and Dixie. I'm full of useless knowledge!

Ah, well I was thinking "love" as in food. Been a looooooooooooooong time...

Everyone else is having so much fun with this, so I thought I'd give it a try.

I'm glad you said dreamy and not dream-like, because if it were like my dreams, you would run and hide! :)

I merely borrowed a good idea!

They say we dream in color, but when we awake we forget the colors and only remember black and white for the most part. Honestly, I just couldn't get a colored version to look right without doing an edit someone had already done, heh.

I like your edit too in a "dying and going to heaven" sort of way.

Am I the only one to notice Katherine hasn't been back since her first post and its immediate follower? Apparently she hasn't even SEEN any of these variations we've done, and certainly she hasn't responded to any of them...

You can put it down as a watched thread then you don't have to search for it.
